In this newly created position, Brunette, Dwyer, and Lawson will provide leadership and support to regions of Abington Bank’s retail banking network, working closely with retail branch staff in several communities to deliver exceptional customer service, drive performance, and uphold the bank’s commitment to community banking. They will also play a key role in supporting strategic initiatives focused on growth, operational excellence, and employee development. Brunette, of West Wareham, has nearly two decades of retail banking experience. She joined Abington Bank’s Front St., Marion office in 2022 as branch officer and was subsequently promoted to assistant vice president, branch officer. Brunette also recently served as a retail sales coordinator, lending her results-oriented leadership experience to other branch managers. She earned an associate degree in business administration with a concentration in banking and finance from Cambridge College and holds two banking certificates from the former New England College of Business program. Currently, Brunette is a member of the board of advisors of the Gleason Family YMCA as well as treasurer for the Salvation Army. In her new role, she will oversee the bank’s Cobb Corner, Holbrook, Marion, and Stoughton branches, while maintaining a presence in the Marion community. Dwyer, of Pembroke, has more than 35 years of experience in retail banking and has led Abington Bank’s Main St., Cohasset office for nearly half that time. Prior to that, she was vice president, retail administrator and security with Pilgrim Bank. Dwyer is also a treasurer for the Salvation Army for nearly 10 years. In her new role, she will maintain a presence at the Main St., Cohasset office and will oversee the bank’s two Cohasset offices as well as the branches in Avon, Braintree, and Randolph. Lawson, of Mansfield, has nearly 15 years of retail banking experience, most recently as assistant vice president, branch officer of Abington Bank’s Harrison Ave., Abington office. Lawson holds a certificate in financial studies from New England School of Financial Studies. In his new role, he will oversee the Abington office and the retail branch float team and over time will assume oversight of additional branches when the merger between North Shore Bank and Colonial Federal Savings Bank is finalized later this year.
